How to get Telemundo to work on a Smart TV

Note that in order to use Telemundo, you must have a current subscription to a TV provider that participates.

Activate Telemundo on Roku

As long as you have the Telemundo app on your Roku device, you can use it to watch Telemundo. If Telemundo is not already on your Roku device, you may need to download it from the Roku Channel Store. Follow these steps to turn on Telemundo on your Roku.

Turn on your Roku device and make sure it’s connected to the internet in a safe way.
Visit the “Roku Channels Store” by going to the “Roku Home Screen”
Go to Streaming Channels on the Roku Channels Store.
Use the server icon under Streaming Channels to look for Telemundo. The Telemundo app should come up when you do a search.
Just click on the app and choose “Add to Channels” The app will start downloading and be added to your list of Channels soon after.
You can choose the Launch Telemundo from your list of stations.

Activate Telemundo on Fire TV / FireStick

To use Telemundo on Fire TV or FireStick, make sure the Telemundo app is loaded. If it isn’t already there, you may have to get it from the Amazon Apps Store and install it. Follow these steps to turn on Telemundo on your Fire TV or FireStick:

Turn on your Fire TV or FireStick device and make sure it’s connected to the internet in a safe way.
Visit the Amazon Apps Store from your Fire TV’s Home Screen.
Use the search icon on the Amazon Apps Store to look for Telemundo,
Choose the Telemundo app from the list of results and click the “Install” button to put it on your device.
Wait until the app is finished downloading to your device. Once the app is downloaded, you can open it from your Apps list.
As soon as you open the app, you will be asked to sign in.
You will get a registration code once you could sign in to the app.
Take note of this activation code, and then use your phone or computer to go to telemundo.com/activar.
Once you’re on the page, put your activation code where it says to.
After you put in your activation code, you will be asked to choose from a drop-down choice your streaming device and TV provider.

To use the code, just go to telemundo.com/activar on your computer or mobile device.
On the website for activation, enter the activation number where it says to do so.
After you’ve done that, you’ll need to choose your viewing device.
You would also have to choose your TV provider from a drop-down list.
Lastly, on the next page, enter your TV Provider login information to prove that you own the account and check the state of your subscription.
After you finish this, your device will be automatically activated, and you can start streaming and watching Telemundo material.

How to turn on Telemundo on an Android TV Box

As long as you have a Pay-TV Provider account, you can turn on Telemundo on some versions of Android TV. You will, however, need to make sure that the Telemundo app is on your Android TV and that you have an account on it. Follow these steps to turn on Telemundo on your Android TV.

Turn on your Android TV and make sure it has a stable and safe internet link.
Start the Android TV Google Play Store from your Home Screen.
Use the search button on the Android TV Google Play Store to look for Telemundo. Once you find the app, all you have to do is put it on your computer.
Once the app is set up, you can run it from your Apps list.
Once you open the app, you will need to sign in with your login information. Please do this.
You would get a registration code once you were in the app.
To use this code, all you have to do is go to telemundo.com/activar on your phone or computer.
On the first page of the activation site, you have to enter your activation code.
The next step would ask you about your streaming gadget. You would also be asked to choose your Pay-TV provider from a list.
Last, you would be asked to enter your Pay TV Provider account information.
Once these steps are done, your device will be automatically activated, and you will be able to stream and watch Telemundo material that is only available on that device.

At the time this article was written, the Telemundo app was not available on Samsung Smart TVs or any other Smart TVs that were not listed in the article. The board does, however, have plans to make the app available on a number of other devices.

Troubleshooting Tips to activate Telemundo

Make sure you put in the correct code. Putting in the wrong code, as silly as it sounds, is the main reason why activation doesn’t work. If you miss a number or letter in the registration code, the process could take longer.
The code has run out. Getting this straight could save you a lot of trouble. If you don’t use the code right away, it could end and stop working until you make a new one in the settings.
Broken Files. Some corrupt data could get into the app during installation or changes. To fix this, just delete the app and restart it.
Turn off the adblocker. Make sure your ads blocker is turned off when you’re on the activation page. This would make sure that the ads blocker doesn’t mark the login page as an ad site.
Try the activation process on your computer while it’s in “incognito mode” to avoid traffic and caches slowing things down.
If you are having major buffering problems, restart your device and router.
